Common mistakes

The middle radical is و or ي. It stretches into a long vowel: قَالَ: and shortens before a consonant ending and in the jussive: قُلْتُ, لَمْ يَقُلْ.

• طَيَرَ → طَارَ Past: he
• طَيَرَتْ → طَارَتْ Past: she
• طَيَرْتَ → طِرْتَ Past: you (m.)
