Levels (Extended Mix)
Choose a folder of new downloads, scan it, review each proposed change field by field and apply only the changes you keep. Supported formats: MP3, AIFF, WAV, M4A (AAC and ALAC) and FLAC.
No messy files at hand? Download the sample library (12 short tracks with typical promo tags and two duplicate pairs, 2 MB), unzip it and choose the folder in TagScrub.
Questions, a record pool whose promo text TagScrub misses, or a problem with a file? Write to timkrechel@googlemail.com. You can also use Help > Send Feedback in the app.
Please describe the rule or the tag text, but do not send music files.
No. Only the text tags you approve are rewritten. Artwork, cue points, beatgrids, key, BPM and data other DJ software stores in the file stay byte for byte as they are.
Open History, select the run and click Undo. This works after quitting the app too. Files that were changed by another app since the cleanup are skipped.
No. Extra copies move into a folder called “TagScrub Duplicates” inside your library, and that move can be undone. Files you already imported into DJ software lose their link there when moved.
Scanning, previews, the duplicate report and undo are free. Up to 50 tracks can be cleaned and up to 10 duplicates moved for free. TagScrub Pro is a one-time in-app purchase that removes both limits.
Your music and its tags never leave your Mac. TagScrub has no account and no cloud storage. It sends anonymous usage counts (for example how many files a scan found) and voluntary feedback to PostHog in the EU. File names, paths and tag values are never sent.
