Questions, bug reports, feature requests — one address.

Cookie Editor is a Safari extension that shows the cookies, local storage and session storage of the website you have open, and lets you change them on your iPhone or iPad. Write to timkrechel@googlemail.com and you will get a reply from the person who wrote the app.

Setting it up

  1. Open Settings › Apps › Safari › Extensions and turn on Cookie Editor.
  2. Open a website in Safari and tap “Aa” in the address bar.
  3. Choose Cookie Editor and allow access for that website.

Safari asks for access per website. You can allow it for one day or always, and you can change that any time from the same “Aa” menu.

The list is empty, but the site uses cookies

Then those cookies are marked HttpOnly, and that includes almost every login and session cookie. Safari hides them from every extension — this is a security feature of the web, not a limit of this app, and no extension can work around it. Shop, consent, analytics and feature-flag cookies normally show up; login cookies do not.

I saved a value but the page behaves as before

Reload the page. The cookie is already set — the page simply read the old value when it loaded.

Nothing happens when I tap the extension

The extension needs access to that specific website. Tap “Aa” in the address bar, pick Cookie Editor and choose “Always Allow”.

The unlock is missing on another device

The purchase is a one-time unlock tied to your Apple Account. Open the app and use Restore purchase.

Privacy Policy

Cookie Editor collects no data. None.

This app reads cookies, and cookies can contain sensitive values. That is exactly why it contains no network code at all: nothing it sees is able to leave your device unless you export it yourself.

Because the app processes no personal data, there is nothing for us to share, sell or delete on your behalf.

Support

Cookie Editor erhebt keine Daten. Keine.
